The Clubs first show report & pictures.

Lizard exhibitors beat the ice and snow to show at the first club show of the newly formed Midland Lizard Canary Association.

Midland Lizard Chairman Kevin skinner said it had been a very streaaful week with the weather. but exhibitors benched 120 Lizards from all over the UK.

Best Lizard went to John Record with a Broken Cap Gold Hen a really lovely bird with good depth of colour and good spangles. second Best Champion went to Joe Caokley with a clear Cap Silver. John Record also benched the best Non Cap with a Non Cap gold Hen.

Best over-year went to Herod & Slater partnership with a really outstanding gold with only a few white tipson the flights.

best Novice went to Bridget boulton with a Non Cap Silver cock. Best Novice clear cap went to Wardle & Lowe with a clear cap gold hen, best Novice broken cap went to Briget Boulton.

For the first show it was really great show woth everyone enjoying the social atmostphere and friendly enviroment.

Bridget certainly had a good day in the novic section.

I would like to thank a few poeple, to Darren Lowe the club secretary who has worked hard to get the club going

and arranged the excellent venue. To Les Parkin for doing the show secretaries role who was able assisted

on the day by Bridget Boulton.

Also to John Martin for coming up to judge the birds John also had a trainee judge with him Andy Williamson who

 had come up from East Anglia.I am sure John & andy would like to thank there steward Chris Jordon.

A specail thanks to all the wifes and partners of the members who supplied breakfast rolls, cakes and sandwiches

 for exhibitors throughout the day.

but a every big thank you must go out to everyone who braved the weather and travelled up to Nottingham

on theSunday morning, we must be all mad!!!! 

One last thankyou to the miners Welfare Club where the show was hosted. And hope to see you all again next year.

And finally well done to the Chairman Kevin Skinner and the committee to think how far the association has come

in less than 9 months.
